Mr. Heyman is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law where he was elected to the Editorial Board of the Maryland Law Review.

As part of his practice in the areas of corporate and business law, real estate law, planning and zoning law, and labor and employment law, Mr. Heyman has:

  • represented numerous business and corporate clients including automobile dealerships, catering and food businesses, furniture and equipment businesses, equipment leasing businesses, as well as numerous other types of enterprises in their formation, start-up, day to day issues, contractual matters, financing matters, litigation matters, merger, acquisitions and sale of assets
  • represented land developers, builders, and owners of shopping centers, office buildings, industrial facilities, residential communities, and mixed use developments in all facets of ownership, development, construction and operation, including acquisition and sale, planning and zoning matters, public works agreements, subdivision matters, covenants, governance matters, structuring of entities, leasing, financing, and work-outs
  • represented and rendered advice to clients in various labor and employment matters, such as employment contracts, non-compete agreements, contract negotiations, representation matters and unfair labor practice matters, including practicing before the National Labor Board
  • appeared before numerous administrative agencies and courts, including appellate courts
  • served and continues to serve as personal representative of a number of estates and as trustee of various trusts

During the course of his practice, Mr. Heyman served for a number of years as the Chairman of the Baltimore County Planning Board, chaired a County Executive Task Force on Education in Baltimore County and served as a member and Vice-Chairman of the Baltimore County Revenue Authority.  He serves on the governing boards of various civic and community organizations.
