Jocelyn Auger joined BCF in June 2001 as a founding member of the Quebec City office. He practises commercial law with a specific focus on intellectual property and innovation. In addition to mergers and acquisition and financing operations, Jocelyn represents various institutions (universities, research centers, etc.) and businesses in transactions involving technology transfers (acquisition/assignment of rights, licensing, etc.) and marketing of products (manufacturing, subcontracting, distribution, etc.).
Jocelyn also possesses expertise in the negotiation, implementation and management of outsourcing, subcontracting and service agreements. He has been involved in subcontracting and outsourcing projects in the areas of information technology, business processes and product manufacturing, both at the national and international levels.
Furthermore, Jocelyn has developed concrete knowledge of technology companies, having himself been involved in the startup of a software development company. His practical understanding of research and development, financing and marketing cycles typical of this type of business allows him to maintain a sharp focus on the real needs of emerging companies.
Jocelyn is involved in the firm's management through his participation to information technologies projects (Internet, Intranet, CRM, etc.). |
