Richard has over 20 years practice experience in the legal profession and 14 years as partner with Snedden Hall & Gallop.  For the last 7 years he has been Managing Partner. He is regarded as one of the leading personal injury/compensation lawyers in the ACT region.

Richard has skill and expertise in all areas of personal injury compensation matters particularly asbestos claims, motor vehicle and industrial accident claims, worker's compensation, including Comcare and medical negligence.

Richard is the immediate past president of the Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA), an organisation which is, amongst other things, involved in lobbying concerning government policy and legislation in the areas of compensation and individual rights generally. Richard is also a member of ACT Government's Workers Compensation Advisory Committee, which advises the Federal Minister on the implementation on the Workers Compensation Act.

In his spare time, Richard is an active member of his local Athletics Club, and strongly supports community organisations involved in cancer research, and those that support people with a disability.
