Mr. Goldberg is a member of the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Department with over 20 years experience representing clients in bankruptcy and other insolvency proceedings, commercial litigation, and financing and other business-related transactions.

Mr. Goldberg's practice has included:

  • Representing secured and unsecured creditors, trustees and debtors in reorganization and other insolvency proceedings
  • Representing national finance companies in developing and drafting commercial financing forms, negotiating terms of loan transactions, handling loan closings and perfecting security interests
  • Representing business clients in corporate finance transactions and in negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts
  • Representing distressed businesses in restructurings and developing exit strategies
  • Representing lenders in foreclosure proceedings
  • Representing business clients in matters before the Maryland Consumer Protection Division.

Over the years, Mr. Goldberg has appeared regularly in federal and state courts.  He has litigated commercial claims and other commercial disputes, the enforceability and priority of security interests, and preference and dischargeability claims.  Mr. Goldberg is a frequent author and lecturer on issues of creditors' rights and bankruptcy.  Mr. Goldberg is also admitted in the District of Columbia and the State of New Jersey.
