| Bar Admission Called to the Barreau du Québec, 1980 In 2001, Mr. Tessier returned to private practice as a senior partner of our firm. Mr. Tessier represents and assists the business community, operating primarily in the life sciences and information technology sectors. Prior to joining BCF, he was a senior executive at two of Quebec's most prestigious companies, working for more than five years with BioChem Pharma, a large biopharmaceutical company registered with the Toronto Stock Exchange and listed on the NASDAQ, and for over eight years with DMR Group, also registered with the Toronto Stock Exchange and one of the largest international information technology consulting services corporations. Mr. Tessier draws on his experience and knowledge of these industries in his practice to assist our clientele in pursuing their rapid growth and improving performance. Since the beginning of his career, Mr. Tessier has participated in and completed numerous complex commercial and financial transactions in Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. He acted successfully as chief legal counsel for two international projects, one for the outsourcing of information technology services, with a value well in excess of one billion dollars, and the other for the outsourcing of procurement services that will be handling more than five billion dollars in goods and services. Mr. Tessier has also been and continues to be a member of the board of directors of private and public companies, where his business experience is very valuable. He is a past president of the Québec Association of Secretaries and General Counsels and sat on the Executive Committee of the Association of Canadian General Counsel. Mr. Tessier is a member of the BCF Board of Directors, head of the Outsourcing practice and co-chairman of the Life Sciences strategic team. |
