Alan specialises in commercial litigation. He is an all round commercial litigator and unusually for such a breed has a particular specialisation in heavy weight family law disputes. He has acted in many multi-million pound matrimonial settlements and acts for wealthy businessmen and high profile media, entertainment and sports personalities.

His extensive commercial litigation experience and expertise includes shareholders and partnership disputes, copyright and passing off cases, and property related litigation. He is also a trained mediator having been taught his mediation skills by the New York Mediation Group. Alan is a regular live commentator on family law issues including recent cases involving the separation of the Siamese twins and IVF problems. He also gives regular TV and press interviews on important divorce cases and changing legislation on pensions after divorce.

In 2005, Alan became a Fellow of The International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
